Introducing Popup/Modal Display for Single Entry Details in Single Entry Add-on v2.0

WPForms entry details displayed inside a popup modal

We’re excited to announce a powerful new feature in the Views for WPForms – Single Entry addon that will revolutionize how your users view form entry details!

What’s New?

You can now display single entry details in a beautiful popup/modal window instead of navigating to a separate page. This creates a seamless, modern user experience that keeps visitors engaged on your site.

Why This Matters

Enhanced User Experience

  • No Page Reload: Users can view entry details instantly without leaving the current page
  • Faster Navigation: Eliminates the need for back-and-forth navigation between list and detail views
  • Modern Interface: Clean, professional modal design that works on all devices

Improved Workflow

  • Quick Preview: Perfect for quickly scanning multiple entries
  • Stay in Context: Users remain on the main view while reviewing individual entries
  • Mobile Optimized: Fully responsive design that looks great on phones and tablets

How It Works

For Site Administrators

Setting up the popup feature is incredibly simple:

Option to display single entry details on a page or in a popup
  1. Edit your WPForms View in the Views for WPForms editor
  2. Navigate to the Single Entry settings tab
  3. Find the Display Type option
  4. Choose between:
    • Page (default) – Opens entry details on a separate page
    • Popup – Opens entry details in a modal window

That’s it! Your view is now configured to show entries in a popup.

For Site Visitors

The experience is smooth and intuitive:

  1. Click any single entry link or linked field in your view
  2. A modal window instantly appears with the entry details
  3. View all configured single entry fields in an organized layout
  4. Print the entry directly from the popup (print button works seamlessly)
  5. Close the popup by:
    • Clicking the × button
    • Clicking outside the modal
    • Pressing the Escape key

The popup feature works seamlessly with all existing functionality:

  • Print Entry – Print button works inside the popup
